Glance at the stones before you. This is the Steinerner Fluss der Zeit Sculpture. It is an accumulation of stone fragments. These fragments represent the past washed up by the river of time.

The Steinerner Fluss der Zeit Sculpture is located in the Skulpturenpark Wettersbach. You will find it in Grünwettersbach. The Ettlingen artist Voré created the work in 1990. He was also an emeritus art professor.

Voré studied sculpture at the State Academy of Fine Arts Karlsruhe. He was a student there from 1961 to 1966. His professor was Hans Kindermann.

The Steinerner Fluss der Zeit Sculpture is large. It measures about 170 cm by 760 cm by 130 cm. The material used is limestone.

Voré said the configuration combines architectural and anthropomorphic elements. These elements connect to form a multifaceted self-contained installation.

In November 2019 the artwork was dismantled. This was due to the theater construction site. After a refurbishment phase in the artist’s studio, it was relocated. Since July 2022, the Steinerner Fluss der Zeit Sculpture has been in the Skulpturenpfad Wettersbach.

The sculpture invites you to reflect on time. Consider how the past shapes the present. What fragments of your own history do you carry? The Steinerner Fluss der Zeit Sculpture stands as a reminder. It prompts us to value our memories and experiences. They form the river of our lives.

Take a moment to appreciate the details of this artwork. It embodies the passage of time. The Steinerner Fluss der Zeit Sculpture is more than just stone. It is a symbol of history and memory.
