This is a very special place, the Stade Municipal Georges Lefèvre. The stadium has witnessed the rise and fall of great athletes. It was here that the Paris Saint-Germain Football Club got its humble beginnings. The Stade Saint-Germain played their first game on this very ground in 1904, when they were born under the name Stade des Loges. The stadium is located in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, which is not far from Paris. It was in 1945, following the unfortunate death of Georges Lefèvre, a footballer for Stade Saint-Germain, that the stadium adopted his name.

Even though PSG started off at the Stade Municipal Georges Lefèvre, they moved on to the Parc des Princes in 1974. The Stade Georges Lefèvre, however, remained an important training ground for PSG until 2024, when they moved to a brand new facility. The Stade Georges Lefèvre has a capacity of 2,164 spectators and is home to the Association Paris Saint-Germain. The stadium hosted its highest attendance on March 9, 1969, with 4,593 people watching Stade Saint-Germain’s 2-1 victory over Evreux AC in the Coupe de France. You can imagine how much history these walls have witnessed. And they are now home to the Stade Français, who played their first match here almost a century after PSG.

The Stade Municipal Georges Lefèvre is more than just a stadium. It is a sprawling sports complex with facilities for track and field, field hockey, football, rugby sevens, beach volleyball and other beach sports, tennis, and paddle. The Stade Municipal Georges Lefèvre is a true gem of French sports history and it has become a place where people can come together to celebrate their love of sport. Today you can see this spirit in every aspect of the Stade.
