Miss Bickmore started her teaching career at St Joseph’s. She returned in 2020 after working elsewhere. She believes in nurturing a lifelong love of writing. This helps students engage with subjects. It also prepares them for secondary school.
Since 2021 Miss Bickmore has led The Write Stuff program. This develops students’ creative writing. The program is carefully structured. Learning builds up week by week. Children gain writing skills daily. Students experience the world beyond the classroom. Each year group visits a London theatre. They participate in a workshop or production.
Elza joined St Joseph’s in reception in 2012. She represented the school in many activities. These included dance quiz and sports. In her final year she was Head Girl.
Thanks to the excellent start at St Joseph’s Elza received offers from all four independent schools. She chose James Allen’s Girls’ School.
Jeremy attended St Joseph’s since nursery. He enjoys swimming and cricket. His favorite subject is Maths. He loves to read. He worked hard to get offers from five independent schools. He will attend Dulwich College from September 2022.
