In 1989, a beacon of faith arose in Clarinda. St Andrew’s Catholic Church opened its doors, a testament to the vision of its architect, Geoffrey Hall Forman. Its construction, overseen by CD Mason Constructions and project administrator Enrico Marrone, culminated in a grand blessing by Archbishop T.F. Little of Melbourne. The church’s dedication to St. Andrew reflects its connection to the wider Catholic tradition. The heart of St Andrew’s Catholic Church beat strongly under the leadership of Father Martin Dixon. In the years following, Father Tony Spierings also served the community. St Andrew’s Catholic Church continues to serve Clarinda, offering a place of worship and community.
