Haven’t you noticed how this Square de la Roseraie seems to whisper secrets? This isn’t just a garden it’s a space reborn. Square de la Roseraie is tucked away offering a tranquil escape. It has undergone a transformation to better connect with the city.

The redesign of Square de la Roseraie aimed to open the garden to everyone. Previously the square felt closed off. Walls and fences surrounded it. The new design invites passersby to explore.

Imagine the entrance shifting towards the Sangnier/Pascal intersection. This links the square more closely with the children’s garden. The walls have been lowered. More open fences have been created. The pergola and rockery are staying. Three distinct areas are structured around a walking loop.

Picture a central grassy clearing with plantings. Envision a vegetated plaza. Imagine a space in the undergrowth. Most of the existing trees remain. A few old or unhealthy trees were removed. But they are being replaced with fourteen medium-sized trees. These new trees are adapted to today’s climate.

The roses in Square de la Roseraie have been replanted throughout the square. Some climbing roses even have special structures to grow on. These changes cost about 340000 euros.

The work on Square de la Roseraie was slated to begin in late 2021 and last three months. The project by The good factory is not final. The Architect of the Buildings of France must review it. This is because it is next to the Maison Lafont. This building is listed as a historical monument.

Local residents participated in a video conference. They liked the overall plan. They worried the central clearing might become a soccer field. In April 2023 Square de la Roseraie was inaugurated. The renovated square spans nearly 3000 square meters. It sits at the corner of Pascal and Marc-Sangnier streets.

The walking loop remains a key feature. It connects different zones. There are spots for relaxation. A woodland garden exists. A clearing shows off shrubby rose plantings. A grassy plain completes the scene.

The redesigned Square de la Roseraie is ready to charm. Its blend of open space and floral beauty creates an unforgettable experience. Remember to breathe deeply and appreciate the floral tapestry surrounding you. Its a place where the city’s hustle fades. The delicate fragrance of roses fills the air.
