Southbury Primary School welcomes children from ages two to eleven. It is a community school with mixed gender classes. The school does not apply a specific religion.

In 2019, 61% of pupils reached the expected standard in reading, writing, and maths. The school’s progress scores in maths and reading were above the national average.
