Southall Library recently moved into the newly renovated Dominion Centre. Southall Library is more than just a place for books. It is a vibrant hub for the community.
Southall Library boasts an extensive collection. It includes books in Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, and Somali. These languages reflect the diverse population of Southall. Southall Library’s history stretches back to 1905. Lady Jersey opened the original public library. The Jersey family were local landowners. Their residence was in Osterley Park. The original library closed in 2014. Then, the library services moved to the Dominion Centre. The old building is now home to a church.
