“Pastor Ed Live & In Person Every Sunday,” boasts the sign outside Sonset Fellowship Church. That’s right, folks, at Sonset Fellowship Church you can experience the electrifying energy of Pastor Ed every single Sunday. This isn’t your grandma’s church, this is Sonset Fellowship Church where faith meets fun. Built in 1988, Sonset Fellowship Church wasn’t always a beacon of faith. It started its life as a bustling United Artists Theatre, or UA Plaza as it was fondly known. The eight-screen cinema, complete with a game room and restaurants, was the place to be for a night of entertainment. But as they say, all good things must come to an end. In 2004, the curtains closed on the UA Plaza. Fellowship Dallas, with a vision to create a space for the community, saw the potential in the old theater. By 2006, the transformation was complete. The old theater was reborn as the vibrant Sonset Fellowship Church you see today. So next time you’re in Dallas, skip the multiplex and head to Sonset Fellowship Church. You’ll be greeted with open arms, a lively atmosphere and maybe even catch Pastor Ed’s Sunday sermon.
