Here, in Nusajaya, stands Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Medini. SMK Medini opened its doors on March 30, 2014. It started as SMK Educity due to its location. The name changed to SMK Medini to honor the Malay language. “Medini” or “Hujung Medini” refers to Johor.

Initially, SMK Medini had 168 students. There were 84 students in Form 1 and 84 in Form 2. The school had 17 teachers. The Malaysian Ministry of Education chose SMK Medini as a “Sekolah Amanah Malaysia”. Only six classes were open at first. There were three Form 1 classes and three Form 2 classes. By 2015, the student population grew. It reached 327 students with 27 teachers and six support staff. Classes ranged from Form 1 to Form 3. Form 4 opened in 2016. It offered four streams which were Pure Science, Accounting, Home Economics and Agricultural Science. A school badge and song were created. They launched the song on SMK Medini’s first anniversary.

SMK Medini’s first principal was Pn. Sallina Binti Hj Hussain. She served from March 2014 to April 2015. Pn. Freeza binti Ab Rasip became principal in May 2015.

SMK Medini has two hostel blocks. Aspura Dato’ Onn houses male students. Aspuri Ibu Zain houses female students. The hostels can accommodate 360 students. Each block has 30 rooms or dorms. In 2015, Aspura housed 96 male students. Aspuri housed 114 female students.

Most students come from Gelang Patah and nearby residential areas. Some are from outside Johor. They are children of UEM staff. UEM is a stakeholder in the school. Many students attended nearby schools. These include Sekolah Kebangsaan Gelang Patah and Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina dan Tamil. SMK Medini offers facilities like hostels. The school’s motto is “Terokai Untuk Terajui” meaning Explore to Lead.

SMK Medini is in Educity, Mukim Pulai Nusajaya. It is a beacon of quality education. The school has 533 students and 53 teachers. It is a rural school. It provides a nurturing environment. SMK Medini offers various subjects. They include Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics, and Science. Other subjects are Islamic Education, Design Technology, and Physical Education. Upper secondary subjects include Additional Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. They also offer Principles of Accounting and Business. SMK Medini has facilities like academic blocks. It has science labs, a gym, sports store, and rugby field. There are hostels, a lift, lockers, and counseling rooms. There is also a student voice group block and canteen.
