Twelve people. A living room. September 4 2011. That’s how Shore Community Church began. Pastor Kyle’s home was the humble birthplace of this vibrant community. Shore Community Church is a testament to faith’s unwavering power. It’s a testament to the unwavering dedication of those twelve individuals. They laid the foundation for what Shore Community Church is today.
The church didn’t stay in a living room for long. Growth necessitated a move. The Ocean City Lion’s Club generously offered their space. Shore Community Church found a home on Airport Road in West Ocean City. They worshipped there for six years. This was a period of significant growth and consolidation.
Then came a partnership with Ocean City Elementary School. Shore Community Church gained use of their facilities. This was a step up. More space meant more opportunities to serve the community. Unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted this arrangement. The church returned to Pastor Kyle’s home in Berlin MD. But the spirit of Shore Community Church remained strong. This shows the resilience of the community. It demonstrates their commitment to faith even during challenging times.
Shore Community Church is non-denominational. Their beliefs are distinctly Christian. Their practices follow the traditions and doctrines of historic Christianity. They are part of something larger than just a local church. They are part of a much bigger story. A story of faith hope and love. It is a story of growth adaptation and resilience. It’s a story still being written. A story you are now a part of.
