Founded in 1952 Shanghai University of Sport stands proudly before us. Its history is rich. It began as a merger of physical education departments from prestigious universities. East China Normal University Nanjing University and Ginling College all contributed. Wu Yunrui the first president shaped its early values. He championed the integration of mind and body.
