The \u015eeyh\u00fclisl\u00e2m Mustafa Efendi Tekkesi was founded in 1744. Feyzullahefendiz\u00e2de \u015eeyh\u00fclisl\u00e2m Seyyid Mustafa Efendi built it. The tekke sits in the Ni\u015fanca district. Seyyid Abdullah Efendi later modified it. He was the founder’s son. He transformed the mescid-tevhidh\u00e2ne into a mosque. He added a minber. The harem building was rebuilt in the 19th century.

The \u015eeyh\u00fclisl\u00e2m Mustafa Efendi Tekkesi features a classic Ottoman medrese layout. A rectangular courtyard sits at its heart. It measures 15 by 11 meters. All spaces surround this courtyard. Twenty-four units line the perimeter. These units feature brick arches and marble columns. The units are covered by domes and vaults.

Look closely at the northern entrance. You will see a calligraphic inscription. Kazasker Neyl\u00ee wrote it. \u015eeyh\u00fclisl\u00e2m Veliyy\u00fcddin Efendi created the calligraphy. The southern side has an octagonal mescid-tevhidh\u00e2ne. A \u00e7ileh\u00e2ne and \u015ferbeth\u00e2ne connect to it. Five dervish cells are on the west and east.

Notice the windows of the \u015eeyh\u00fclisl\u00e2m Mustafa Efendi Tekkesi. Lower windows are rectangular with stone frames. Upper windows are arched with plaster screens. The dome has an octagonal drum. It features arched windows and plaster designs.

Originally a wooden women’s gallery existed. It no longer remains. Dervish cells had domes and vaults. Each cell had a door and four windows.

According to Hasib Kartal, women entered through a special gate. This harem kap\u0131s\u0131 led to the women’s section. This gate was removed during 1970s renovations.

The courtyard boasts an octagonal marble fountain. Its surfaces show broken arches and floral motifs. The tekke’s kitchen has a vaulted ceiling. It has a simple design with arched openings.

The \u015eeyh\u00fclisl\u00e2m Mustafa Efendi Tekkesi’s location is notable. It stands near the Haydar \u00c7e\u015fmesi fountain. The tekke’s gate includes a 26-line inscription. K\u00e2tip-Z\u00e2de Mehmed Refi Efendi wrote it.

The \u015eeyh\u00fclisl\u00e2m Mustafa Efendi Tekkesi’s history includes notable figures. Tokatl\u0131 \u015eeyh el-Hac M\u00fbs\u00e2 Efendi was its first postni\u015fin. Other leaders followed including \u015eeyh Mehmed R\u00e2sih. The tekke served the Nak\u015fibendi order.
