What if a village could transform into a bustling hub of administration? The Setia Asih Village Office stands as a testament to such a change. This unassuming building, previously the heart of Desa Setia Asih, now serves as the administrative center for Kelurahan Setia Asih. The story of Setia Asih Village Office’s transformation began in 2006, a journey spanning 16 years. Driven by the community’s vision, numerous Musyawarah Desa (Musdes), or village meetings, were held. The goal was to evaluate Setia Asih’s readiness for this significant shift. Factors like population size, land area, and infrastructure were carefully considered. By 2022, Setia Asih had met all the requirements. The village boasted a population of approximately 46,000, signaling its growth and development. In mid-December 2022, the transition finally took place. The acting Regent of Bekasi, Dani Ramdan, marked the occasion. He signed a commemorative inscription and cut a ribbon at the Setia Asih Village Office. This ceremony, held at the Setia Asih Village Office, included key figures. Among them were government officials, community leaders, and Dede Firmansyah, the acting village head. This event solidified Dede Firmansyah’s role as the acting head of the newly formed Kelurahan Setia Asih. The story of the Setia Asih Village Office doesn’t end there. In a momentous event in March 2023, Dede Firmansyah was officially appointed as the definitive Lurah, or head, of Setia Asih. This marked the completion of the village’s transformation. The Setia Asih Village Office isn’t just a building. It embodies the aspirations and efforts of a community. It reflects their dedication to progress and development.
