Dare to transform your world with Scripture Union Victoria. For almost 150 years Scripture Union Victoria has been an active Christian volunteer movement. It empowers volunteers and adapts to contemporary needs.

SU Victoria collaborates with local churches. Together they provide creative ministries for children, young people, and families. These include beach programs and holiday camps. School ministries, youth outreach and chaplaincy are also offered.

Scripture Union’s story began over 150 years ago. Josiah Spiers shared God’s big story with 15 children in London. He wrote ‘God is love’ on a Welsh beach. Children decorated it with seashells. Now SU operates in over 120 nations.

For over 140 years young Australians found hope through SU. In 2021 different states joined to become one national movement. They aim to meet local needs.

SU Australia runs camps and events throughout the year. These include the Vic Supporter Event and MAD Camp Heart of Gold 2025. There is also the Performing Arts Camp 2025 Team Weekend. Lorne Easter SUFM 2025 and Arts Camp Coolamatong are also on offer. Stable Ground Youth Cafe in Hamilton is there too. AAA offers volunteer opportunities in Victoria. Alexandra Theos 2025 also features.

Camp Coolamatong is SU’s campsite in Victoria. It sits on the Banksia Peninsula near the Gippsland Lakes. It is 15 minutes from Bairnsdale. The Farm Camp and the Lake Camp offer programs for schools and groups. A unique one-year internship is available.

SU Victoria is passionate about equipping people for service. They offer vocational training to develop leadership and faith. Internships offer flexible learning. Interns can specialize in ministry. Placements are available in churches or schools.
