Mother Francisca’s life was dedicated to prayer. She established daily adoration especially on Thursdays and Sundays. This practice continues today in the communities of the Institute. Her ardent desire was for complete self-giving to Jesus mirroring his sacrifice. Her words remain poignant “The ardent desires of your Francisca are that they may pass burning in flames of self-sacrificing love that they may be lost and consumed at the feet of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.”

The Santuario not only serves as a place of worship. It also houses the remains of Mother Francisca de las Llagas. On May 2 2015 her exhumed remains were placed in a new sepulchre inside the sanctuary. This makes the Santuario a pilgrimage site for those seeking spiritual connection and reverence. A museum dedicated to her life and work adds another layer to the site.
