Ready to discover a hidden gem? Sto. Niño de Violago Quasi-Parish stands before us. It is a testament to faith and community in Quezon City.

This quasi-parish was established on August 28 2019. It belongs to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cubao. The parish is under the Vicariate of the Holy Family. Every January 25th the Parish Fiesta celebrates.

Sto. Niño de Violago Quasi-Parish is located in Barangay Kalusugan. You can find it on E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue. The phone number is (02) 8748-9008. Their email address is sndvqp@gmail.com.

Masses are held on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 6:00 PM. On Saturdays mass is at 7:00 AM. Sunday masses are at 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Please note there is no mass on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Now let’s step back in time. The Sto. Niño de Violago Chapel predates the quasi-parish. Mr. and Mrs. Butchie Violago gifted it to the Congregacion del Santisimo Nombre del Niño Jesus. This group organizes the annual Sto. Niño procession on Roxas Boulevard. The chapel’s completion dates back to 1984.

Imagine this chapel. It looks like a mini castle with a mini tower. This design is a fitting home for the Child Jesus. Stained glass windows decorate the chapel’s facade. A grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes stands in front.

Inside, the Sto. Niño image is enthroned. It sits on a beautiful baroque altar. The chapel houses other religious images. You’ll find Santo Entierro and Sto. Niño de Praga there. Marian images also adorn the space.

The chapel once hosted TV broadcasts. They would tape the anticipated evening mass. It aired the next day as Sunday Mass.

Sto. Niño de Violago Quasi-Parish is more than a building. It’s a vibrant community. It’s a place of worship. It’s a center for faith. As we leave take a moment to reflect. Consider the history and devotion within these walls.
