Founded in 1981 Santa Rosa Catholic School stands proudly before you. Its story began not in a grand building but in a humble church basement. The Sta Rosa de Lima Learning Center opened its doors in a converted space. Mr and Mrs Virgilio Melendres generously sponsored the preschool. St Paul’s College Pasig donated furniture showing early community support.
This wasn’t just any preschool. It was a seed of faith planted by Monsignor Danilo J Pascual. He envisioned a school grounded in Christian values. The school’s motto All for You my Jesus All for You reflects this devotion. Another motto Duc in Altum meaning Go into the Deep further emphasizes the school’s commitment to spiritual growth.
Growth was rapid. By 1985 a two-room building blessed by Monsignor Isidro L Jose expanded the school’s capacity. Generous parishioners fueled this expansion. The school became Sta Rosa Parochial School in 1988 under Mrs Teresita Mateo. Further expansion transformed the building into a four-room structure. This showcases the community’s dedication to education.
The school continued to thrive. In 2001 a pivotal meeting of the Board of Trustees occurred. Sta Rosa Catholic School was officially registered. This marked a significant step in its evolution. It solidified its identity and its commitment to providing quality Catholic education.
The school’s journey demonstrates perseverance. It started small in a basement. It grew into a multi-room building. It’s a testament to the vision of its founders. Their commitment to education and faith transformed a simple learning center into the thriving institution you see today. Santa Rosa Catholic School is more than bricks and mortar. It is a living legacy of faith and community. It’s a beacon of hope for generations of students who have passed through its halls. Its pink color a symbol of joy hope and devotion.
