What secrets does this towering giant hold? Right before you stands Salesforce Tower, a testament to Chicago’s architectural prowess. While once known as Wolf Point South Tower, it embraced the Salesforce name in 2018 when the tech giant secured a hefty lease and naming rights. Completed in 2023, this 835-foot titan is not just a pretty face. Salesforce Tower holds the distinction of being the first in Chicago to demand and measure environmental product declarations. This means every material used in its construction had its carbon footprint meticulously tracked. The result? A remarkable 19% reduction in carbon emissions during concrete and steel production. That’s equivalent to taking 1,500 cars off the road for an entire year. Salesforce Tower is a beacon of urban sustainability, proving that even towering giants can tread lightly on our planet.
