In 1929, a seed of faith was planted in Auckland’s fertile ground. This seed blossomed into Saint Chad’s Anglican Church. It started as a daughter church to St Aidan’s in Remuera. Saint Chad’s quickly took root and grew. A vicarage was built in 1953. A hall followed in 1958. By 1975, Saint Chad’s had grown into its own. It was granted separate parish status, a testament to its flourishing community. The old building served the community faithfully for many years. However, its limitations became apparent. The church needed a space that could accommodate its expanding community and outreach efforts. After careful planning and over a year of construction, a new chapter began. The new Saint Chad’s Church and Community Centre opened its doors on May 22nd, 2010. Today, Saint Chad’s stands as a testament to the power of community and faith. It welcomes hundreds of people each week. It provides a space for groups of all ages to come together. Saint Chad’s isn’t just a building. It’s a place where people connect, grow, and journey through life together. It continues to bring Jesus to the community. It blends Anglican tradition with a loving community.
