Saint Ann Catholic Church in Coppell Texas boasts a rich history. It began humbly in 1983. Two women envisioned a Catholic community for Coppell’s expanding population. Their dream led to the first Mass a year later. 225 people attended that very first service. This small mission church rapidly grew. In 1986 it became a parish. By 1989 a permanent facility the Assembly Room was opened. This building houses the parish offices and meeting rooms.

Today Saint Ann is one of the largest parishes in the Diocese of Dallas. It serves over 8000 families. Eighty active ministries thrive within its walls. The church’s growth led to the need for expansion. A massive renovation project called Building Hope was launched. This impressive plan included finishing nearly 20000 square feet of space and renovating over 17000 more.

The church’s cruciform design is striking. A massive 83-foot dome dominates the sanctuary. The twin tower fau00e7ade defines the south edge of the plaza. Side chapels a baptistery a main nave and transepts create a welcoming space. The spacious sanctuary is situated directly below the dome. The curved apse adds to the architectural beauty. Ancillary spaces like a bride’s room restrooms and sacristies are conveniently located.

The Building Hope campaign wasn’t just about bricks and mortar. It was about building a future for the community. The project cost millions of dollars. It was comparable to other large projects in Coppell. The renovation included a new kitchen addressing the needs of the many ministries that use the facility. The renovation also created much needed additional meeting and storage space. The project aimed to ensure the church could continue to serve parishioners and the wider community.

Saint Ann Catholic Church stands as a symbol of enduring faith. From humble beginnings to its current size it has become a vital part of Coppell. The building reflects a spirit of community and growth. This church is more than just a building. It’s a living testament to the power of faith and the unwavering dedication of its parishioners.
