Saint Adrian Roman Catholic Church

Nestled in the heart of Chicago, Saint Adrian Roman Catholic Church has witnessed the ebb and flow of life in this vibrant city. The church, located at 7000 S. Washtenaw Ave., stands as a testament to faith and community. Saint Adrian’s has been a spiritual anchor for generations. It has served as a beacon of hope and resilience for its parishioners. The church’s history is intertwined with the stories of countless individuals who have found solace and strength within its walls. Saint Adrian Roman Catholic Church is more than just a building. It is a living testament to the power of faith to unite and uplift a community. The church has been a place of worship, celebration, and mourning. It continues to play a vital role in the lives of its parishioners. Bishop Andrew Wypych spoke of the kind and strong leadership of the former pastor, Father Tom Mescall. Father Tom retired when Saint Adrian merged with Queen of the Universe to become Mary, Mother of Mercy Parish. He became the last pastor of Saint Adrian. The new parish, led by Father Jose Antonio Murcia Abellan, honored Father Tom with a beautiful new front door. It will forever be known as Father Tom’s Door. The church continues to hold Mass and other services. Sunday Mass is offered in English at 8:00 am and in Spanish at 10:00 am. Weekday Mass is held on Tuesday at 8:15 am and Wednesday at 7:00 pm in Spanish. Confessions are available on Wednesday evenings. The spirit of Saint Adrian lives on within the hearts of those who have called it their spiritual home.
