Rush Green’s story dates back centuries. The hamlet was first noted in 1651. Until the late 19th century, it remained a hub of small farms. Residential development began with the Birkbeck estate in 1885. West Road, Wolseley Road, Grosvenor Road and Birkbeck Road formed this estate.
