This was a feat unheard of for a woman especially at such a young age.

Later Martha’s career led her to various teaching positions. These included postings in Algeria Mende Grenoble and Montpellier. Eventually she returned to her beloved Marseille. There she served as the director of the Lycee Montgrand. At the time this was the largest girls’ high school in France.

She fulfilled a role similar to that of a deaconess although this position was not formally recognized within the French Pentecostal church at that time. She engaged in extensive charitable work. She partnered with the Red Cross to provide aid to those in need in her church and community. Martha also worked with local aid organizations providing food clothes and financial assistance.

Martha was also a spiritual leader. She created a theological newsletter for pastors. It included translations of international Pentecostal journals like Redemption Tidings and Pentecostal Evangel. Martha also contributed to the church newspaper Viens et Vois. She translated a work of church history and authored a piece on Israel.
