You may be wondering why this street, Rue Jean Marin Naudin, is named after a person you’ve likely never heard of. Well, Jean Marin Naudin was a French military man who lived during the French Revolution and the First French Empire. Born in Bagneux, he was a soldier and administrator. His life was filled with service, dedicating his time to the French military. He went to many different locations throughout France, serving in numerous campaigns, and even fought in Germany. He worked as a ‘conducteur d’artillerie’ which means something like an artillery officer. He was a chevalier of the Legion of Honor, and the street was named after him, probably because his family was from Bagneux.
