“This is a street full of memories.” We stand in front of Rue Édouard Beaulieu. This unassuming street in Rosny-sous-Bois is a place where history unfolds. It was once named Rue d’Avron, but in 1948, the name was changed to honor Édouard Beaulieu, a local resident and communist councilor who was deported to Auschwitz during World War II. He died there on September 18, 1942, along with his son, René. The street is a quiet, residential area today, far from the sounds of war. The plaques on the buildings, however, remind us of the sacrifices made during a dark era.

Beneath what appears to be a simple stone and wood structure lies a history interwoven with faith aviation and community.
