This little lane has seen centuries come and go.” He gestured towards a weathered building. “Imagine, back in the day, this whole area was practically countryside.” He paused for effect. “Goatherds herded their flocks right through here, selling fresh milk to the residents.” The woman raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite herself. “And those residents?
