For over 15 years Roca Negra has offered an ideal setting to create lasting memories. It’s perched on the slopes of Cerro Lopez boasting one of Patagonia’s most stunning panoramic views of Lake Nahuel Huapi.
Our adventure begins with a thrilling 4×4 ascent. The rugged mountain road winds through ancient coihue forests and towering lengas. Each bend reveals breathtaking vistas of the park its pristine lakes islands and mountains. It’s a prelude to a unique snow experience.
Once we arrive at Roca Negra we’ll equip ourselves with snowshoes. These are essential for traversing areas with deep snow. An expert guide will lead us on a 90-minute hike through this magical landscape. Every step is a chance to marvel at the natural beauty surrounding us.
At Roca Negra a warm welcome and a delicious meal await. A cheese fondue is served for lunch and a chocolate fondue with fresh fruit vanilla cookies and nougat for an afternoon snack. All this is enjoyed with panoramic views.
After this delightful culinary pause we’ll descend by 4×4. We’ll return to the base of Cerro Lopez and then to the city center. Roca Negra is more than just a refuge. It’s an experience that awakens your senses and connects you with the raw beauty of the Patagonian Andes.
