Welcome to Robelle Mansion in Makati City. This isn’t just a building. It is a testament to Filipino entrepreneurship and family values.
Let’s step back in time to 1976. The Robelle Group of Companies was founded. Fast forward to 1984. The Espino family opened Robelle Mansion Hotel. They wanted to offer affordable accommodations in Makati.
General and Mrs. Romeo Espino were inspired by European pensions. They transformed their home into a hotel. The Development Bank helped them with a loan. Their original house was built in 1964. It stood in Ayala’s first subdivision. This area was once rice and kangkong fields. A ten-door apartment building was behind the house.
In 1975, they redesigned the house and apartments. It became Robelle House with 31 rooms. Six more rooms were added in 1977. Robelle House became a successful pension hotel.
Mrs. Helen Espino, the President and General Manager, decided to expand. She converted their apartments at 877 J.P Rizal St. This location was about 100 meters from Robelle House. A six-story building was constructed.
The building was completed in 1984. Robelle Mansion began operations in 1985. It featured 72 apartment hotel rooms and 18 office units. The ground floor had commercial spaces. Restaurants and fast-food services operated here. Today, you can find various food options. There is also a salon with a massage clinic and SPA. A burger and burrito stand with chicken barbeque is coming soon.
Robelle Mansion also has a sister company. Aquamundo Dive Shop is on the ground floor. They offer diving lessons and equipment. Guests can also use the swimming pool at Robelle House. It is a short distance from Robelle Mansion.
