Founded in 1926 Ridgeland Avenue Bible Church has a rich history. It began as a small group meeting in Argo Illinois. The church grew. It outgrew four locations in the Summit-Argo neighborhoods. In 1964 the church moved to Oak Lawn. This was a significant decision. It allowed them to open a day nursery. Little Lights Academy served working mothers. The church continued to serve Oak Lawn. In 2020 Ridgeland Church began a new chapter. They asked hard questions. They went through a pastoral transition. They pushed beyond comfort zones. They overcame challenges with creativity. Ridgeland Church now has a new core conviction. It has new values a new mission vision and key focuses. They strive to Find Belonging Follow Jesus and Live Differently. They seek to Know Jesus and Make Jesus Known. Today Ridgeland Avenue Bible Church stands as a testament to faith perseverance and community. It’s a place where people connect reset and refocus. It’s a place that extends belonging to everyone. It offers meaningful connections music prayer and preaching. Engaging programs are available for children.
