Established in 1964, Resurrection Church Beirut has a remarkable story to tell. This church wasn’t built in a day. It started with a small group of believers meeting in homes in Hadath. These founders, Daoud Tleel, Fayez Sakhnini, Ayoub Abu Na’eem, and Raja Allaaty, laid the foundation for what Resurrection Church Beirut is today. An Egyptian theology student, Khalil Ibrahim, pastored the fledgling church until 1976. Then, amidst the turmoil of the Lebanese civil war, leadership passed to Ghassan Khalaf. He steered the church through challenging times, grounding it in biblical doctrine. Years later, in 2008, Hikmat Kashouh became the senior pastor. Under his leadership, Resurrection Church Beirut experienced exponential growth. The church’s impact expanded significantly, reaching thousands of families across numerous congregations. Resurrection Church Beirut isn’t just a place of worship. It’s a beacon of hope and support for the community. It’s known for its holistic ministry, addressing both spiritual and physical needs. The church has played a crucial role in serving refugees, providing essential resources and a sense of belonging. This outreach extends beyond Lebanon. Resurrection Church Beirut partners with churches in other Arabic-speaking countries, fostering discipleship and community service.
