Perhaps, it is the Renoir Residencias de Altura that embodies Buenos Aires’ spirit. These towers stand tall in the Puerto Madero neighborhood. They are more than just residential buildings. They are a testament to architectural ambition.

The Renoir project began with a vision. DYPSA sought to create the tallest towers in the city. However, the Cavia Tower surpassed the Renoir complex in 2008. Yet, DYPSA modified the plans. They extended the height of Renoir Tower Two to 175 meters. This made it the tallest in Buenos Aires upon its completion in 2011.

Robirosa, Beccar, Varela and Pasinato Arquitectos designed the Renoir Towers. These towers showcase a modern aesthetic. The Renoir Tower One reaches 136 meters. It has 41 floors. The Renoir Tower Two soars to 175 meters. It boasts 51 floors.

Construction of the first tower started in 2005. It finished in 2008. The second tower began in 2007. It was completed in 2012. The Renoir complex offers luxurious amenities. These include a swimming pool and a jacuzzi. There is also a multipurpose room for 400 people.

Units in the Renoir Residences range from 160 to 229 square meters. Full floors of over 550 square meters are possible. Duplexes on the upper floors range from 200 to 270 square meters. Renoir provides a nursery. There is also a micro-cinema. Other conveniences include valet parking and a car wash area. A drivers room is available.

In 2024, a fire broke out in Renoir Tower Two. The blaze started on the 11th floor. It spread to the 15th floor. More than 100 people were evacuated. Forty people were treated for smoke inhalation. The fire originated in a mechanical room. It housed the building’s air conditioning units. Ceiling vents allowed the fire to spread.

Despite the fire, the Renoir Towers remain a symbol of luxury. They represent resilience in Buenos Aires. Ex-footballer Mariano Pavone lived in the building. He evacuated with his son and dog during the fire.

The Renoir Residences stand as a modern icon. They reflect architectural innovation in Puerto Madero. The towers offer a blend of comfort and style. They provide residents with stunning views of the city. A third tower was planned with the same height as Renoir I. This third tower was intended for the Puerto Madero Renoir Alvear Palace Hotel.
