Regina Coeli Catholic Primary School has a long and interesting past. The school was established in 1953. It stands on grounds with both old and new buildings. Kendra Hall is one of the older structures. It was once the family home of the Allders of Croydon. Now, it houses Year 6 and Year 2 classrooms. You’ll also find the school library and computer suite there. The medical room and offices are also in Kendra Hall. Newer buildings accommodate other year groups. Reception, Year 1, Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 are in the newest block. It opened in 1995.
Regina Coeli is a Voluntary Aided Primary School. It operates within the Archdiocese of Southwark. The school partners with the London Borough of Croydon. It serves four main parishes in South Croydon and Selsdon. Regina Coeli has a strong Catholic tradition. The school welcomes boys and girls aged 4 to 11. Its capacity is 420 pupils. Currently, there are 409 students enrolled. About 24.4% of pupils are eligible for free school meals.
The school is part of the SANCTA FAMILIA CATHOLIC ACADEMY TRUST. Other schools in this trust include St Elphege’s RC Infants’ School. Also St John Fisher RC Primary School and Ursuline High School Wimbledon.

Until recently, Ofsted inspected the school. However, from September 2024, Ofsted no longer provides overall effectiveness judgements for state-funded schools.
Regina Coeli Catholic Primary School converted to an academy. This happened on January 31 2025. Before this conversion, several governors served the school. Ann Glanville, Charlotte Goodwin and Frank ODonaghue were among them. Gary Organ, John Hickey and Magda Fuz also served. Maria Eka, Marsha Dann and Mary Coen contributed too. Sheila Morris and Tom Tamplin were also governors. Chad Legere and Clare Charlton were past governors as well.
