Ravni Vrh, meaning “Flat Peak” in Croatian, might sound a bit underwhelming, but don’t let that fool you. This peak, rising over 700 meters above sea level, offers not just stunning views but also a glimpse into Dubrovnik’s resilience. Imagine standing here in 1667. An earthquake, so powerful it reshaped the city’s very foundation, sends tremors through this peak. The view from here would have been heartbreaking, with parts of the magnificent cathedral and countless monasteries and palaces reduced to rubble. Yet, Dubrovnik, like this steadfast peak, endured. The city rose from the ashes, rebuilding its iconic walls and the splendor we see today.
