Long gone are the days when Rapti Bobani was a bustling village. Now, let me tell you a story about this place. Rapti Bobani is a village in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the municipality of Trebinje. This municipality belongs to the Republika Srpska entity.

Once upon a time in 1991, 24 people called Rapti Bobani home. The village sits in the region of Herzegovina. Before the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rapti Bobani was part of the Trebinje municipality.

Interestingly, the population was entirely Serbian. According to the 1991 census, all 24 residents identified as Serbs. There were no Muslims, Croats, or Yugoslavs recorded.

After the Dayton Accords in 1995, things changed for Rapti Bobani. Part of the village’s territory was reassigned. It became part of the newly formed Ravno municipality. This new municipality joined the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Now, let’s jump to more recent times. According to the 2013 census, Rapti Bobani is deserted. No one lives here anymore. It is a reminder of the changing times.

Rapti Bobani may be small. Its story reflects larger shifts in the region’s demographics and borders. The village is surrounded by other localities. Take a moment to imagine life here.

Consider the families who once lived in Rapti Bobani. They were all Serbs. Envision their daily routines. How did they live before the war? What were their hopes for the future?

Though deserted now, Rapti Bobani remains on the map. It serves as a silent witness to history. This place also reminds us of the complexities of the region’s past.

Today, as we stand here, think about the people. Think about their stories. Reflect on the events that shaped this village. Let us remember Rapti Bobani. It’s a place that once echoed with life.
