Hydrangeas in full bloom paint Quyang Park Lake with vibrant colors. Early June transforms this area into a floral paradise.

Quyang Park Lake is located in what is now known as Jingwu Sports Park. This park is more than just a green space. It is a place that combines fitness, leisure and sightseeing. Quyang Park was renamed Jingwu Sports Park on December 9, 2013.

Before we delve further into the lake, let’s talk about the park’s history. It opened to the public in December 1997. This transformation cost 80 million yuan. The government’s support was crucial for its development. The park was designed with four distinct areas. Each zone offers unique experiences.

At the entrance, a European-style flower bed greets visitors. A western colonnade serves as a backdrop. A central fountain adds to the visual appeal. This area sets a sophisticated tone for the park.

For those seeking excitement, there used to be a karting area. It featured Japanese racing cars. It was a thrilling and popular competitive sport.

The fitness area caters to all ages. Here, you will find international standard tennis courts. There were cruises, a children’s entertainment city. Billiards, table tennis and other options provided dynamic and static activities.

The quiet leisure area centers around Huangshi rockery and Changdi Lake. The dock, spring, covered bridge and waterfall created picturesque scenes. Undulating buildings and roads enhanced the natural beauty. The planting design was unique and interesting.

Now let’s focus on the highlight the Jinghu viewing area. A long bridge spans the lake. It is called the Corridor Bridge. Lotus buds peek out from under the bridge. Willows stretch out above the bench near the lake. It is a peaceful spot to relax.

Quyang Park Lake and the surrounding park offer complete service facilities. You can find a free water park near the entrance. The park provides emergency mobile phone charging. Gardeners are always maintaining the flowers and plants. The fountain in the European square and the waterfall operate on a schedule.

The park also embraces Jingwu culture. Statues of 18 martial arts masters are scattered throughout the greenery. A full-body statue of Huo Yuanjia stands on the lawn. You might see locals practicing boxing in the corridors.

Quyang Park and its lake offer something for everyone. Whether you seek sports, relaxation or cultural immersion, you will find it here. Remember to visit in early June to witness the hydrangeas in full bloom. The park is open from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
