Hidden within the Waitākere Ranges, Quinns Creek flows quietly. It’s a seemingly unremarkable stream, yet its story is intertwined with Auckland’s thirst for water. These temporary structures served their purpose for a time but were eventually demolished by 1914. The construction of the Upper Nihotupu Dam began in 1915.
