Welcome to Prince of Peace Catholic Church! You may not know this, but this church has a story to tell about beginnings. Let’s start with the fact that the church grew out of another one, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, which was founded back in 1976. You see, as more and more people came to live in this area, the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish needed to expand. And in 1991, Prince of Peace became a separate parish, serving the growing number of families in Plano. That’s right, this church is actually a daughter church of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. There are a surprising number of Catholics in Plano and all around Dallas in general, and Prince of Peace is part of that story. Today, Prince of Peace has its own vibrant community of over 3,000 families, and it’s a place where people come together to celebrate their faith and support each other. Prince of Peace even has its own elementary school that focuses on Catholic education. The church is a welcoming place for people of all ages and stages of life, and it’s a place where you can find a sense of belonging. What’s special about Prince of Peace is its amazing history of growth in a city that is itself growing very rapidly. And even though it grew out of an already existing parish, it’s become a vital part of the Plano community.
