Opened just months ago, the Pont Célestin Hébert already faces a temporary closure. This bridge, connecting Nanterre’s Terrasses and Groues districts, closes to motorized traffic starting Monday, September 28th. The Hauts-de-Seine department is undertaking major roadworks on Boulevard de La Défense. They aim to create a two-way system to support new real estate developments like Vinci’s future headquarters, Archipel. For the next three weeks, a temporary roadway will replace Pont Célestin Hébert. While not heavily used currently, Pont Célestin Hébert is poised to become a key route for Les Groues. This closure will necessitate a detour via Boulevard de La Défense and Avenue Arago. Pedestrians and cyclists can still use Pont Célestin Hébert during the works.
