Envision Polytech Paris-Saclay bustling with aspiring engineers. It’s not just a school. It’s a launchpad for innovation, nestled in the heart of the Saclay campus, a scientific powerhouse. Polytech Paris-Saclay, officially part of the prestigious Polytech Network since 2010, is more than just classrooms and labs. It’s a vibrant ecosystem where students transform into architects of the future. Polytech Paris-Saclay’s story begins in 1983 with the ‘Formation d’Ingénieurs de l’Université Paris-Sud à Orsay’ or FIUPSO. Initially focused on Electronic Systems and Industrial Computing, it quickly expanded to include a Materials specialty. This marked the beginning of Polytech Paris-Saclay’s journey to becoming a leading engineering school. Over time, more engineering courses joined the fold: FIIFO (IT), NFIO (optronics), and NFI TEAN (electronics apprenticeships). In 2004, these courses united under the ‘Institut de Formation d’Ingénieurs de Paris-Sud’ (IFIPS), laying the groundwork for Polytech Paris-Saclay. The transformation was complete in 2010 when IFIPS joined the Polytech network, becoming Polytech Paris-Sud. With the advent of Université Paris-Saclay in 2020, the school adopted its current name: Polytech Paris-Saclay. This transition solidified its role as the internal engineering school of the university. Today, Polytech Paris-Saclay offers four distinct specializations. These include Electronics and Robotic Systems, Computer Science, Materials: Mechanics and Energy, and Photonics and Optronic Systems. Polytech Paris-Saclay is not an isolated institution. It thrives on collaboration, boasting a network of 20 research laboratories and numerous partner companies. This connection to the real world ensures students are equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow. Furthermore, all four specializations at Polytech Paris-Saclay have received accreditation from the CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur). This recognition underscores the school’s commitment to providing high-quality engineering education. Polytech Paris-Saclay is ideally situated within the Saclay campus. This strategic location provides unparalleled access to cutting-edge research facilities. Imagine your budding engineer working alongside researchers at the CEA de Saclay or the Soleil synchrotron. Think of the opportunities for collaboration with nearby companies like Thales, Danone, and Renault, all within easy reach. Polytech Paris-Saclay boasts a thriving alumni association, ADIPS, with over 3,600 graduates. This network provides invaluable support and opportunities for current students and recent graduates alike. The strength of the Polytech network, comprising 15 publicly funded and CTI-accredited schools, further enhances the student experience at Polytech Paris-Saclay. It offers a wider community, fostering collaboration and exchange through inter-school events and joint projects. Polytech Paris-Saclay is a place where innovation is not just taught, but lived. It’s where theory meets practice, and where students are empowered to shape the future of technology.
