“Did you know that this very spot once stood empty?” I ask. The Polo de Capacitación Productiva de Ezpeleta. stands before us a testament to transformation. Before us is more than just a building. It’s a story of community collaboration and economic empowerment.
In December 2014 this place was officially opened. The Polo de Capacitación Productiva de Ezpeleta. was inaugurated thanks to a partnership between FECOOTRA and the National Ministry of Social Development. Over 150 people attended the grand opening. Many were members of the “Argentina Trabaja” and “Ellas Hacen” programs. Women from “Ellas Hacen” received diplomas for their training in residential water systems.
The “Argentina Trabaja” program participants were instrumental. They refurbished and launched the Polo. Their work focused on production of building blocks pavement posts prefabricated materials and wire mesh. This ambitious project which began in July of the same year was supported by FECOOTRA. The federation handled the technical and financial management.
The inauguration was notable. It was done via teleconference by Dr Alicia Kirchner. She emphasized the importance of community-driven projects highlighting that work is the best social policy.
A video showcased the Polo’s incredible transformation. The video highlighted how the once-empty space became a place for cooperative projects. It highlighted the potential for the cooperativists to launch their own productive ventures.
FECOOTRA took pride in supporting new members entering the cooperative movement. They celebrated the opportunity for these individuals to integrate into the social economy. Their own productive projects were now viable here at the Polo de Capacitación Productiva de Ezpeleta.
This wasn’t just a construction project. It was about building a future for individuals and the community. The Polo de Capacitación Productiva de Ezpeleta. stands as a symbol of hope and self-sufficiency. It shows the power of collaboration and determination. It’s a place where skills are learned and businesses are born. A place built on the promise of a brighter tomorrow.
