Lost in Buenos Aires? Here at Plaza El Salvador, you find a green space. It is large but a bit neglected. Plaza El Salvador sits on Monroe Street at number 1000.
In the plaza’s center, you see a mast. The mast has a cylindrical base. This base is surrounded by national emblems. Four staircases lead to the top of the base at Plaza El Salvador. A conic structure made of stacked stones sits atop it. A condor with spread wings stands among the stones. The mast rises from the center of this stone structure.
The monument at Plaza El Salvador includes two oval reliefs. These show San Martín and Belgrano. But the shields on the base are most interesting. They include the National Shield. Also, there are provincial shields.
From the monument’s front, clockwise, are eleven provincial shields. We see some provincial shields again. The monument’s photos come from December 2018 and July 2019. This shows how Plaza El Salvador preserves Argentine symbols. Plaza El Salvador offers a glimpse into Argentine history.
