To get here follow the road to La Pared. About 2 km after the Ajuy junction, you will find a dirt road on the right. This leads to our secluded paradise.

The beach is rarely crowded. Keep in mind there are no services like bars or restaurants. So pack accordingly. The sand here is a unique black volcanic grain. You will see silver glinting in the sunlight.

Just a bit further along the coast lies Playa de Garcey. The beached ship American Star was here in 1994. At Playa de Garcey nothing remains except ruins visible only at low tide.

Playa de la Solapa itself stretches 425 meters long and 30 meters wide. It offers a sense of unspoiled beauty. Be aware that it can get windy. The swell is often strong. Swimming is not recommended. It is best to visit at low tide when the rocks are exposed.

More recently Playa de la Solapa gained fame as a filming location. The final battle in The Eternals in 2021 took place here. You might recognize the dramatic landscape from the movie. The coordinates for Playa de la Solapa are N 28°21.853′, W 14°9.95′. There is a car park nearby. A small dirt road will lead you to the beach.
