From the bustling streets of Istanbul rises Piri Paşa Hazreti Ali Cami. This mosque, a beacon of faith, stands as a testament to community spirit. Piri Paşa Hazreti Ali Cami’s story began in 1997. Local residents, under the guidance of the Hazreti Ali Camii Yaptırma ve Yaşatma Derneği (Hazreti Ali Mosque Construction and Preservation Association), embarked on a mission. Their goal was to create a place of worship. In the same year, their dream materialized. The mosque opened its doors to worshippers on May 1, 1997. Piri Paşa Hazreti Ali Cami is more than just a mosque. It’s a hub of community activity. The original building occupies a 100m2 area on a 250m2 plot. It features a reinforced concrete frame and a single dome. An ambitious expansion project is currently underway. A new four-story building is being constructed, covering 400m2. This addition will house a Quran course on the lower floors, further enhancing the mosque’s role as a center for learning. Piri Paşa Hazreti Ali Cami has a dedicated muezzin and caretaker. A two-story detached house within the mosque grounds provides accommodation for the staff. Ablution facilities and restrooms are also available.
