A toast to Pier 10 Winery. That’s what I say. This isn’t just any winery. It’s a family story. A story etched in the very soil of the Mornington Peninsula.

Pier 10 Winery began in 1996. Eric Baker and Sue McKenzie had a dream. They wanted a lifestyle change. Maybe even a retirement plan. They planted Pinot Noir Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. They weren’t just planting grapes. They were planting a future. A future for their family.

The winery isn’t just about the wines. It’s about the Bakers. Eric’s sons Stuart and Scott took over. Stuart runs the popular restaurant. Scott and his partner Cath manage the vineyard and cellar door. They’re keeping the family tradition alive. They’re crafting cool-climate wines. They’re welcoming visitors from near and far. They offer a diverse range. That includes Pinot Noir Chardonnay Pinot Gris Prosecco Riesling Sangiovese Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon and Muscat. Something for everyone.

But there’s more to Pier 10 than meets the eye. Did you know that the winery produces approximately 2000 cases of wine annually? That’s a lot of bottles. That’s a lot of happy customers.

The cellar door is open Thursday to Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome. But bookings are recommended especially during the busy summer months. You can sit outside. Enjoy the sun. Sip your wine. Look over the vineyard. It’s the perfect place to unwind.

Pier 10 Winery is more than just a winery. It’s an experience. It’s a taste of the Mornington Peninsula. It’s a family legacy. It’s a testament to hard work passion and a whole lot of love. So raise your glass to Pier 10 Winery. To family. To friends. And to the perfect glass of wine.
