Periuk emerged as a separate administrative entity in 2000. It was carved out from the Jatiuwung District. Periuk now stands as one of Tangerang’s key areas.
Periuk spans 11.51 square kilometers. It is home to a population of over 75000 residents. Periuk’s story is one of growth. It reflects Tangerang’s dynamic development.
To the north, Periuk meets Sepatan and Sepatan Timur in Tangerang Regency. To the east, it borders Neglasari, Karawaci, and Cibodas. The southern boundary touches Jatiuwung and Cibodas. To the west lies Sepatan and Pasar Kemis in Tangerang Regency.
Periuk includes five kelurahan or subdistricts. These are Gebang Raya, Gembor, Periuk, Periuk Jaya and Sangiang Jaya. Each kelurahan has unique characteristics. Together, they contribute to Periuk’s identity.
The district capital is located in Periuk Kelurahan. This central location makes it easy to access administrative functions. The distance between kelurahan offices varies. Sangiang Jaya and Gebang Raya are closest. Periuk and Gembor are the farthest apart. The Gembor office is four kilometers from the district office.
Periuk is accessible via Trans Tangerang Ayo. Corridor 4 connects Periuk to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. This provides convenient transportation for residents and visitors.
