Opened in 1839, Passage des Arts whispers tales of creativity and Parisian charm. This passage, tucked away in the 14th arrondissement of Paris, originally belonged to the commune of Montrouge, known as Petit-Montrouge. When Petit-Montrouge became part of Paris in 1860, Passage des Arts transitioned too, finding its new home in the Plaisance district. The passage stretches a modest 58 meters in length and a mere 3.7 meters in width. It begins at 31, rue Raymond-Losserand and concludes at 14, rue Édouard-Jacques. Passage des Arts earned its name from its history as a haven for artists. This isn’t the famed Pont des Arts burdened with love locks.
