Beneath the Buenos Aires sky, a story of faith unfolds at Parroquia Santa Magdalena Sofía Barat. This isn’t just a church it is a testament to community spirit. It is a beacon of hope in the heart of the city.

Parroquia Santa Magdalena Sofía Barat began in 1966. Father Paura envisioned a place of worship and education. The religious order of the Sagrado Corazón organized it. They named it after their founder Santa Magdalena Sofía Barat. For three years parishioners gathered in a garage. The Garacino family generously provided this space.

In March 1967 a significant event occurred. The Bishop of Morón approved the creation. He approved both the parish and the school. That April they laid the cornerstone marking a new beginning.

Couples can celebrate their casamientos. The Unción a Enfermos offers solace to the sick. The Capilla de la Vida has a cinerario.

The Parroquia Santa Magdalena Sofía Barat has a dedicated team. They offer catechesis. The goal is simple. They want children to know Jesús. They want them to feel his friendship. The team wants them to live joyfully. They want them to embrace Jesus’ teachings. Receiving their first communion means feeling embraced.
