In 1940 a new center of Christian life was born. It was the Parroquia San Juan Bosco. Nestled in the outskirts of Santa Fe it was surrounded by orchards and brick kilns. Monsignor Nicolás Fasolino decreed its canonical erection. The evangelizing work began in a rented house. This was located on Facundo Zuviría 6035. The Marsengo family owned the house. A new chapel was built next to a school on Estanislao Zeballos street. It opened in August 1943. More chapels followed as the neighborhood grew. Families factories and businesses arrived. The Salesians were instrumental in this growth. In 1980 Monsignor Vicente Zaspe consecrated the new temple. The Salesian work in Santa Fe continued to expand. It followed the congregation’s motto “Give me souls take what you want”. The Parroquia San Juan Bosco wasn’t just a church. It was the heart of a community a beacon of faith.
