Parroquia Presentación del Señor has a rich history. It was officially established on July 25, 1938. In the beginning, services were held in a converted warehouse. Father Francisco Maas was the first parish priest. He arrived on December 29, 1938. Within two months, the Daughters of Mary congregation was founded. Soon after, the Apostleship of Prayer began. The Catholic Action group started the following year.
On October 25, 1941, a new church building was blessed. Cardinal Santiago L. Copello officiated the ceremony. The first mission was preached the next month. Monsignor Rocca, the vicar general, confirmed 800 children. Over the years, the parish grew stronger in faith. At that time, it was the smallest parish in the archdiocese. The Missionary Fathers of the Holy Family managed the church until 1991.
