Park Royal West Halt opened on June 20 1932. It was a Great Western Railway station. The station served passengers until its closure.

Its life was relatively short. Park Royal West Halt closed on June 15 1947. It closed before the London Underground’s Central Line extension opened. The extension ran from North Acton to Greenford.

Hanger Lane station replaced Park Royal West Halt. Hanger Lane is located to the north-west.

The Great Western Railway operated Park Royal West Halt. It was a part of their New North Main Line. From 1932 to 1937, Brentham was the preceding station. It was for North Ealing and Greystoke Park. After 1937, Park Royal was the next station. North Acton followed Park Royal West Halt.

Its location was in Park Royal within the London Borough of Ealing. The coordinates were 51.5290°N and 0.2863°W. Two platforms served the station.

Park Royal West Halt emerged during a time of railway development. Nearby, the original Park Royal station had a complex history. It opened temporarily in 1903. It served the Royal Agricultural Showground. This earlier station closed and reopened several times.

The Metropolitan Line also played a role in the area’s railway history. It crossed the Great Western line in 1903. This created a network of connections.

Even the nearby Park Royal station had name changes. For a time, it was known as Park Royal Hanger Hill. This reflects the evolving landscape.
